Songs of the blood and the cross of Jesus.

I'd always known God loved me, but I'd never understood what pain He was prepared to suffer to prove it. It was important for me to sing these songs because we can expect so much from our Christianity - healing, prosperity, protection - and forget that without the cross and the atoning blood of Christ we have no living reality. I have proved in my own life that with or without all the benefits, my God is worth loving and serving ... and Jesus dying on the cross made it all possible.   Joanna Barratt
